Performance Drop (20fps) on SD 8 Elite Device since Olcea Patch Update [6]
Dear Developers,
I am a dedicated player of Chaos Zero Nightmare and have been enjoying the game since its global launch. I would like to report a persistent performance issue that started recently.
Old Device: Redmi Note 9 Pro 5G (Snapdragon 750G / 6GB RAM).
Status: Running smoothly at 60fps up to the latest Tiphera update.
Current Device: Honor Win RT (Snapdragon 8 Elite / 12GB RAM).
Status: Experiencing severe frame drops (constant 20fps).
I upgraded to my new device (Snapdragon 8 Elite) before the Lunar New Year. Initially, the game ran very smoothly during the Nine update. However, since the Olcea partner patch, the performance has significantly dropped. The frame rate is now stuck around 20fps, making it difficult to play. This issue has persisted through the latest Tiphera update without any improvement.
Importantly, I have tried lowering all in-game graphic settings to the absolute minimum, but the frame rate remains stuck at 20fps. This suggests a deep optimization or compatibility conflict rather than a hardware limitation.
It is quite strange that my older, weaker device (SD 750G) performs better than the high-end Snapdragon 8 Elite on the current version. I suspect there might be a compatibility issue with the newer chipset in recent patches.
I truly hope the Dev team can look into this optimization issue for the Snapdragon 8 Elite series so I can enjoy the game at its best again.
Thank you for your hard work and for creating such an amazing game!
Best regards.

I have the same problem as well on my Samsung S24+. It ran fine after the Tiphera patch then after a week and a half started experiencing frame drops and no audio as well. I have been playing a pc for a while until a fix comes through.
I just checked and can confirm that STOVE84091242 is right. Besides the FPS drops, all audio is completely gone too—I hadn't even noticed that until now.
they really should give more focus on the optimization side of things, Idk how the F, but my device (16Gb Ram and a really good processor and hardware in general) have a hard time keeping 60 FPS ☠️ while any other game runs smootlhy
Came looking for this. Same issue here and no sound at all. Scrolling through combatants is like a slideshow. Using an older device (pixel 6 pro xl) that ran just fine before and handles most games with almost no issue, including hsr. The web menu when opening stove forums via the game is smooth, but the game is choppy and no sound once you pass the start screen music
I have tried searching for similar issues on Reddit and Stove, but there are very few reports so far. For the time being, I have switched back to my old device to play the game while waiting for a fix
I play on PC and I didn't notice any performance issues so it must be optimization for phones. Maybe they didn't optimize for the newer hardware. Such oversight is not uncommon. They will eventually fix it as long as they know there is an issue and its not just on your end.
