sekred divine chaos run [8]

I did a few runs with this divine chaos modifier and haven't found any fun combos yet. Am I missing something?

This modifier changes multiple hit to 1 hit. It feels more like a nerf than a buff.

it is a nerf, multiple hit cards benefit from dmg increase multiple times, but when you change it to single hit it only strikes once. It makes early fights easier, while later fights harder, so its better to bring characters who only do 1 hit and completely ignore this mechanic

you just exchange additive DMG boosts for multipicative ones  ( Like Orlea or Nia ) and Vuln. aplication;


this mechanich make multi hits become heavy hitters instead;


90%x3 DMG, for example, is 270%DMG total, but If you reduce the hit count by 2 and increase It by 200% for each, its a 400% increase per hit removed, making it be: 90% + {90% x [(3-1) x 200%]} > 90% + {90% x [2 x 200%]} > 90% + 90% x 400% > 90% + 360% > 450% total DMG, instead of just 270%, and It become a bigger buff as your hit counts increase;


that makes Vuln ( Orlea, Magna, Khalipe, Amir ) extra valluabe, cause you consume 1 stack per hit, making this debuff not rlly good for multihitters, but, with sekred, they doing just one big ATK anyways

Glltyte only character that I use that have multi attacks is Chizuru and even before the bug she was crap in this event. She relies on hitting multiple times to generate souls/flames whatever. Her kit simply doesn't work otherwise. And the dmg increase you get from items/buffs can easily get to 200 (equipment, buffs) which would make it 290x3=870 vs 450+200=650. Maybe it works for other combatants, definitely not for Serenei's 3 mana attack which also benefits from multiple hits rather than being single attack card

LiliandaI use Renoa/Nia/Cassius for this one; Nia have % DMG increase, Renoa have some multi-hits, and Cassius on full house for the draws, while both having discards ( Shuffle and Nia shenanigans ), wich not only gives you a lot of direct DMG, but also great sinergy with her bullets;


abt Chizuru, agreed, she gets too much additive bonuses for sekred to be considered a buff for her, shes better at Nihilun ( 4 atack cards limit per turn but you get 3x your hit count )

It reduces your hit count while increasing your DMG by 200% for each, It means If an attack card does 140%x2 = 280% total, itll do  [140% + ( 200% x 140% )] = 420%; and, If its 3 hits, with 140% base multi, itll be:


standard version: 140%x3 = 420


sekred: 140% + {140% x [(3-1)  x 200%]} = 700%


see ? more hits = huge increase in DMG, its a bit underwhelming compared with Kyrken or Diallos but anyways, try to use multi-hits characters and youll see it

It gives you +200% damage for every hit it takes away.  I had the multi hit Full Metal Hurricane epiphany and was hitting for ~1400% with it to all enemies.

I think this is the way -  it felt very meh on Yuki/Serenial/Rin. Thx for the ideas! Just need to upgrade Amir now heh
