Full damage block w Iron Skin +3 metallize won’t stop dying during Link Break [4]
Using Iron Skin while depleting 3 metallize gives complete damage immunity for one turn. However, when I was link-broken, I still got signal lost when the monster hit me, even though it should have done no damage.
This is an edge case, but if this isn’t literally the best time to play that card, what is? I would’ve won the fight and got to a camp where I could have used all my gold before probably losing to the boss. Still would’ve made a huge difference to the deck I was making, even if I didn’t finish.

tbh, yeah, its a fair thing to be confused abt;
i wouldnt say its a bug, cause its not a problem in how things work, but anyways, not the point, they could indeed be more clear abt some things
Gllty obviously it would’ve been better if I had the card the turn before ;)
But it’s not unreasonable for me to think it would work this way because it DID used to work this way. You used to have HP hidden behind the crash that you could restore with healing, and then survive hits. Usually having 33% of your hand worth of cards being dead to Link Break would eventually get you killed (never mind having to heal back from 0 hp and having max hp reduced…), but they did used to check for damage. I think this changed in S1 update. Obviously if they were checking hits against a hidden hp pool, Iron Skin would have worked then.
So I still call this a bug, because I know they’re technically capable of handling this edge case! If Iron Skin isn’t going to give you another turn during Link Break, why even bother with Link Break at all? There are very few things you can do on a turn that are more impactful than “prevent all damage this turn”.
I don't believe this is a bug, but I agree that it would be nice if it could stop you from dying because of Link Crash. It's just the way that it works where if you're in a Link Crash state, then enemies that would have an Attack Action instead have a Kill action which doesn't actually do any damage and just plays the animation and ends the run so yeah not technically blocking any damage, but I see the vision. Would be a super edge case, like you said, but it would be a cool idea that if you are able to fully block the damage you would've taken then you can survive a potential run-ending hit even in Link Crash.
best time to use would be to avoid getting into a link break, by stopping big nukes, and once link broken, i think they dont check for DMG ( your HP is already 0 ), but instead, they check If you have a shield or not, and, in the case you dont, its just a hit kill
