Feels like t14 rate was stealth nerfed. But why? [7]
I have used 7000-8000 shards trying to find a t14 world to run. I’ve seen them before and it “only” took an average of maybe 2000.
This is really aggravating because I know most people are exploiting the Core of Discord to exit and keep one of these planets.
I think this design should be changed for next season, but in the meantime, that exploit has been openly a part of endgame for weeks now, so why the nerf to the appearance rate? In fact, the rates should have gone up instead to help people that would rather play the game than reset 50 times per real run.
I don’t have any shade for the people doing this since that’s how it works right now, but it’s aggravating that the current design encourages NOT playing the game and punishes actually playing it.

Sorry, what
Why are you so irritated with that trick? Would you not be able to keep the planet with that trick if you were to get the tier 14 you're aiming? Why does it look like you're expecting them to patch it? Genuinely asking.
I use that trick a lot so I could farm my deck without having to refresh it everytime, so that I could have stable runs without wasting too much of that refresh currency, and I'm sure many people do too.
Its not even that harmful, you still need to finish interior first.
Don't make a problem that isn't supposed to be a problem, please.
"Oh but the roguelike-"
If I want to focus on my roguelike experience I'd just do the damn diff 10 or higher chaos. I only farm my decks on diff 8.
Did you even read the title?
I’m irritated with the “trick” and yes “oh the roguelike”.
But don’t put words in my mouth.
You’re assuming the only fix is to get rid of this trick. That’s not what I want.
I want an acknowledgement that if they are going to leave this “trick” in, the.n the design is stupid and should be changed. Instead of having to reroll over and over, which is NOT what is happening right now with this “trick”, just let us say “I want a t14 level X” world.
“But oh noes! We can’t do that!” Why exactly not? This current design is the same thing just with the added step of pissing people off who can’t get the t14 roll or who don’t know “the trick”, and that trick is no kind of strategic skill, it’s an exploit.
So the REAL fix is just changing the game so everyone can play on t14 worlds, reset or not, but I have to piss off someone like you first before I can say “See? This is why the ‘but we can’t just let people pick a world’ argument is total bullshit.”.
LluluienYou would know this if you actually read my post thoughtfully, because I said SO THE T14 RATES SHOULD HAVE GONE UP INSTEAD OF DOWN.
If you rolled a t14 world 10% of the time, then this exploit never would have mattered.
I don’t care about convincing you, but you do make a perfect shill to make my point, because now I can say this to the devs:
Do you devs see it now? Why this is broken? It’s a TRIVIAL change to make both me and this other guy happy at the same time.
To be ABUNDANTLY clear: I am not saying anyone using this exploit is making the “But we can’t let people just pick worlds!” argument. The DEVS are making that argument right now with a reroll mechanic that my current data says is probably less than a 0.25% chance at a t14 world, while somehow simultaneously saying the OPPOSITE by leaving this exploit in place.
THAT is what I want fixed. Devs: PICK A LANE!
I favor you picking the one that makes everyone happy. Don’t get rid of the exploit: OBVIATE IT at the design level.
LluluienChill out.
I did read the title. I have no problem with you complaining the rate of getting tier 14, thus why I did not talk about it. What I do have problem is that you seems to be suggesting them to "patch" the trick that let you keep the planet attribute, thus what I commented was only about the trick of keeping the planet attribute.
If I'm mistaken of what you meant, then I'm sorry english isn't my native language? Just chill out bro wtf.
LluluienIn the end, the entire point is this:
By allowing the exploit to exist, the devs have said it’s okay for it to cost nothing (in the limit) to farm decks at t14.
Therefore, I expect to not have to jump through this stupid hoop in the near future, and for them to let us just pick the tier we want to run on the season planet. The advantage that exploiting this gives should just simply be made available to everyone.
Covering bad design elements with a nudge-nudge, wink-wink exploit is a bad precedent. For instance, I am using that precedent right now to say it is unjustifiable for them to deny me this mechanical change now, because then Bweet and I would both be happy. If the devs actually don’t think that’s true, and they remove the exploit for next season without making the change I want, then it’s not just going to make Bweet mad - it’s going to make me mad too, because it’s talking out of both sides of their mouth about a design that I think is flawed.
