Can we get to see the threshold for the amount of points we need to get into the next tier up for the event. for example how many points from silver to gold

Very difficult, since the ranking works by percentage of players in that rank, so it would be constantly changing and would always need to be recalculated; Also consider that the total number of players who participated in the event varies, etc.
My personal recommendation is that you aim for a little over 500K, because most players simply don't bother with the ranking and also aim for that, wich results in a big chumk of playerbase being arnd that
