Standing against players will lead to a dead end [35]

Okay, whether you admit it or not, your recent updates clearly show you’ve chosen to stand against the players—and that’s a dead end. Seriously, when the game first launched, I was completely addicted to CZN, spending over ten hours a day in it. The progression system was so poorly designed that I even created two accounts just to play more characters. Even after all the scandals broke out in Korea, I was worried the game might shut down, thanks to . I genuinely hoped it would pull through and get better. But now, I can say without any emotion: go ahead and die—you deserve it. I loved this game, I raged over it, and now I’m just ready to coldly watch CZN fade away. You can imagine how much frustration, disappointment, and repeated mistreatment it took for my attitude to shift this drastically.

How can you survive by opposing your players? You ignore countless areas that need optimization, and whenever players—after enduring one annoyance after another—manage to devise creative solutions, you rush to ban them. Because of your flawed design, "combatant’s epiphany" appears too rarely and too late. Players turned this design flaw into something creative through clever deck-building, and what did you do? You “fixed” it at lightning speed—even though it wasn’t a bug, just another one of your many poorly designed systems that has frustrated players countless times. But when players finally made something positive out of it, you suddenly acted swiftly—while still ignoring actual bugs and doing nothing to improve the gameplay experience. Making the game more fun seems beyond your ability, but when it comes to making players miserable, you excel. Keep it up!! I think there are still too many players left anyway.

I mean this is clearly a korean propagandist that wanted to destroy the game since the beginning. Nothing to see here.

I'm kind of starting to hate them tbh; it's not the first time the Korean community has acted super weird;

Complaining about bugs being fixed out of all things is wild.. This ain’t it.

to me, the frustration comes from only fixing 'bugs' and no other communications/ response to players burning questions.

such as, epiphany rate apparently being low in lab 0, making life harder for grinders by adding in garbage rare event that isn't very rare etc. 

Not saying there needs to be a daily q&a session, but i believe addressing player concerns, especially when the game is still fresh, is critical.

90330644They not only answered yes, lab0 has less chance of epiphany, but they also added events to achieve epiphanies in order to minimize the impact of this. Did it solve the problem? Not exactly; but at least we can farm event save data from the Codex; However, I hope the second season is better than this one and that they learn from their mistakes.

Glltyyou are forgetting they also added in a garbage event which appears 90% of times to take away from the dupe (very essential in terms of deck building) and the rare replica event... this is why people are mad if you don't see it.

90330644Yes, I can very well see that; as I said, they do make mistakes, but it was still an attempt to make the chaos more interesting, given that the latest updates have been going in that direction; Did they make a mistake in the execution? Yes, but isn't that better than doing nothing? (especially since this event appears quite late in the run; if it happened earlier, I believe it would be less harmful); People have been focusing too much on the "save data" aspect and completely forgetting about the "roguelike" part, but anyway; my criticism of those who abused the bug persists, and to these "Hur dur hate the DEVs they do nothing and hate players" ludicruous nonsense

90330644Furthermore, it makes no sense to argue that this event hinders farming for seasonal content, given that Codex-City of Mist has a higher chance of epiphanies, a more common dupe event, and better equipment, compared to lab0(wich REALLY need some buffs);

Everyone is allowed to have their opinion.

- For me fixing obvious bugs is what they should do and it clearly was a bug. There's also absolutely no reason to take advantage of that bug other than getting ahead in the ranking, as your season data is absolutely fine for everything else and only if the chaos data is the same difficulty for everyone in the game to achieve, then the ranking can be fair. So acting on it is FOR all those players that didn't abuse bugs, and that's a huge majority.

- You and everyone else is free to come to the forums and suggest the changes you want to see in the game, instead your first post here is to tell the game to die. Sure, we can agree on that there are still things that should be changed about the game, it's also important to note that there were tons of good changes in just a few weeks time and the devs have committed to keep at it. Game development is complicated, it's rare to see fast changes outside of bugfixes.

I don't know what you're talking about. The game is making great strides. Bugs are being fixed. Content is improving. In the last month and a half, the game has improved significantly.

@Gllty what he meant was probably the bug where you can "rerun" codex without having to pay. This was patched crazy fast

I see, but still, isnt it supposed to change the codex once you leave it ? i mean... hes complaining about not being able to cheese them ?


 and like... "Youre going against your players", when theres no one talking about It is kinda crazy, thats why i've asked for more details.


 also, This week was mostly about bug fixes, just like since the game's launch... if you compare the current state to the first week, you see some serious improvements.


STILL im not trying to I'm not trying to downplay anyone's complaints, since that could be constructive criticism aimed at improving the game itself, but I won't lie, OP made some rather empty complaints.

I just saw about this bug, lol, so in the OP's view, using a bug and exploiting the game to gain advantages is a "creative way" to get around an issue; excuse me?

GlltyIt's actually talked about by a few CZN CC, 1 of the vid had 5K views.

He's not the only one who think it should be a feature, as in they want to be able to rerun without paying in some way just like lab 0.


You could say this is a criticism as refreshing codex in zero system can be tedious whereas in lab 0 you can "freely" refresh them.

BweetOh, so they're all cheesers 🙂 i mean... its a frking roguelike; It makes sense that lab0 doesn't cost anything, after all, it's part of an event, and afterwards it will become normal chaos; Codex is the "default" mode of the game, you receive 3 options, and the cost is very low after you maximize the zero system; If they make it too easy, that's when they'll ruin the game; I am extremely against free resets.

GlltyThis comes back to where you stand. There are people that enjoy hardcore RNG gameplays, but also that prefer casual. 


As I said previously, imo, chaos is more of a process, with endgames as the actual main contents.


To be able to fully go creative with various deck compositions & its maximum potential, you need to get the right deck. Doesn't have to be divine, as long as the right ones are there.


I believe many people don't treat chaos as a place to challenge their skill. It's again more of a process to get the decks that they aim. And, well, you still get many RNG once you're in the chaos anyway....

I would be happy if they add something like 3x reroll chaos attributes perday, so it doesn't have to be as cheap as lab 0 but there is reroll... I mean u don't even always get the city that you aim bro 


I'm not sure what we get on other roguelite games, but we get new decks after each run, and it feels bad if we were to lose copy card chance because we lost midway man

How exactly did the latest updates go against the players' wishes, and what exactly were those wishes?


 I know nothing about the bans you mentioned, or about the "positive way" of working with the epiphany and deck-building system you cited; Can you give more specific details about that?
