The top clear on global is using a 3 star partner and none of the 3 partners or characters they've sold on featured banners so far.
The sold 3 characters who aren't even top 5 DPS. They aren't even as good as a support DPS like Maribel when built correctly.
They gave Yuki 100% scoring bonus on the event and said they designed it for her, and she's still so bad that she's not competitive vs a standard banner 5 star passion DPS.
They are all actually also fairly bad in chaos requiring more time to start up and be useful than 4 stars.

yeah, imagine the only viable dps check team is just a squad of 3 SR combatants
thanks to the internal story drama, everything else is neglected, the fact that most char use 2-set memory fragment instead of 4-set just show how disconnect the team is with their own game
There was a notice that there will be changes to partners, why they said those will be buffs to higher partners. I personally wouldn't be surprised if this would include nerfs to 3 stars, if they don't work as intended, for example if their att buffs aren't only based on base att.
Leaderboard: atm there's a Rin that's top rank a Baryll on 6th. In total in the first half for the top 100 teams you'll find 51 Mei lins, you'll also find 27 Yukis and you'll find almost every character in the game. This is actually pretty good for Yuki, considering that the owner-rate for her is much lower than for Mei Lin (because everyone and their mom used the selector for Mei Lin). So i would say the devs are nice to make this event work for BOTH Yuki mains AND other characters and if you can get a high score seems to depend mostly on how broken you can make your deck instead of "only Yuki clears". They could adapt the content for this, but nobody wants unnecessary powercreep.
im sorry you just aren't spending the time necessary to make broad speculation. I know the beryl you're talking about, its a one card guilty pleasure in a mei lin deck. The one Chizaru in japan is a one card deck just to use bind for Mei Lin.
regardless the left side basically asks you if you can beat a boss, the right side is the dps check where all the scoring happens, and the right side is 100% tressa.
