[Guide] Lag, High Latency or Can't Connect (Server is Full)
1. Download WinMTR:
- Go to the following website: https://sourceforge.net/projects/winmtr/files/WinMTR-latest.zip/download
- The download of the WinMTR zip file should start
2. Open and Run WinMTR:
- Once the download is complete, locate the WinMTR-latest.zip file in your Downloads folder.
- Extract the contents of the zip file. You will see two executable files: WinMTR.exe and WinMTR64.exe.
- Most modern computers use the 64-bit version of Windows. Double-click WinMTR64.exe to run the program. If you are unsure, you can try running WinMTR.exe.
3. Configure WinMTR Options:
- In the WinMTR window, click the Options button.
- Uncheck the box next to "Resolve names". This will display IP addresses instead of hostnames, which is often more useful for troubleshooting.
- Click OK to save the changes.
- In the "Host" field, enter the game server IP address: 43.159.24.92
- Click the "Start" button.
5. Collect Traceroute Data:
- Allow WinMTR to run for at least 1-3 minutes to gather sufficient data. This will show the path your connection takes and any potential points of delay or packet loss.
- Once you have waited for the specified time, click the "Copy Text to Clipboard" button.
6. Share the Traceroute Result:
- Open your web browser and go to the website: https://pastebin.com/
- In the large text area on the Pastebin website, paste the text you copied from WinMTR (Ctrl+V or right-click and select "Paste").
- Click the "Create New Paste" button.
- Once the paste is created, copy the URL (web address) of the Pastebin page. You will need to share this link.
7. Provide Additional Information:
Please also provide the following details along with the Pastebin link:
- a. Pastebin Link: (The URL you copied from Pastebin)
- b. In-Game Ping: What is your average ping displayed within the Crossfire PH game? (Please specify if this is a general average or during specific times/situations).
- c. Public IP Address: To find your public IP address, go to this website: https://www.ipchicken.com/. Copy and paste the IP address shown on the page.
- d. Area: Please specify your general location within the Philippines (e.g., Pasig City, Quezon City, Makati City, etc.). Knowing your specific area can sometimes help identify regional network issues.
- e. ISP (Internet Service Provider): Please tell us the name of your internet service provider (e.g., PLDT, Globe, Converge, etc.).
By providing all this information, our IT Team will have a comprehensive overview of your connection and can better assist you in resolving your high latency and network disconnection issues. Thank you for your cooperation!
