👾 'RE∀IVE' (~9/7)
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] The best moment
It's embarrassing, but I died four or five times here...I couldn't even see the health bar, so I didn't know how much I had fought, and with only one HP leftI thought I was done for this time too and was about to give up, but I caught it.First of all, since the opponent's health bar isn't visible, I have no idea how much more I need to hit them.+ It felt difficult to dodge both of the boomerang crowbar throws.
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] A bratty girl!!
So this kid is the leader? Cute lolPhase 1 shoots beams, and Phase 2 rides a broom and sprays bullet hell Does she think she's Marisa or something ???Iletia-chan, coming back to cause a scene because she's frustrated about losing It's frustrating that it ends after repairing LilyThe pixel art is cute and the BGM is good, so I had fun playing it
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] So we finally meet...
The final boss difficulty was really tough... Maybe it's because I'm not very good at Metroidvania games...Perhaps that's why it felt like a unique experience when I finally defeated the boss and came to meet Lily.I spent 30 minutes fighting the boss just to save you... The terrorist leader was so difficult that it took a long time, Lily... I'm sorry your master is bad at games...
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] Reunited with Lily
The scene where I overcame the difficulty and reunited with Lily is the one I remember most.I started by immersing myself in the early world-building, but the combat and stage progression difficulty were designed to be quite high, so it required quite a few attempts and a lot of focus to clear. However, the sense of achievement I felt when I broke through those tricky sections one by one, reached my destination, and faced Lily again was greater than I expected. In particular, Lily's pixel animations and charming appearance shown on the in-game screen were portrayed as much cuter than I had imagined, which felt like a good compensation for the game's spicy difficulty I had experienced earlier.Lily's adorable little cotton-swab punch!
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] A memorable scene
I thought the story or boss fights would be what I remembered most but while in a map with only one minor enemy at a dead end, I wondered, 'Why did they even bother making this map?'and the memory of finding a secret area by chance after going to the corner just in case is what I remember most.
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] A memorable scene
It's the scene where I fix Lily again after the adventure. It feels quite emotional to reunite with her after struggling to defeat the boss's second phase. There was a huge difference in difficulty between the boss fight and the second phase, so I died quite a few times. I want to use Lily, but it's a shame that it gets interrupted.
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] The best moment
It was such a difficult section. If the jump is too low, you collide and take damage. The crowbar is like a boomerang and comes back to hit you. Sometimes it even throws two at once...It was really tough because it doesn't show how many times you need to hit the mobs.
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] A battle scene that personally left an impression on me!
The moment that personally left the biggest impression on me was the boss fight with Iletia. In the first phase, I thought, 'Huh, this is more manageable than I expected,' and let my guard down, but I guess that was a flag after all. As soon as it entered the second phase, she started flying around in the air on a broomstick, drastically increasing the difficulty of the battle. In particular, the barrage of projectiles she poured down while riding the broomstick and the relentless charging patterns kept me on the edge of my seat as I frantically tried to dodge them. The unique concept of a 'corrupted graduate student' was also quite striking. In the end, due to consecutive defeats, I couldn't see the ending of the demo version, but I have a feeling I'll be encountering her often in the official story as well.
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] I'm breathless watching the electric torture jump section.
It's even more absurd than the spike hell, my AI filter just turned off.Why do platformer games keep including sections like this? It's incredibly unpleasant. Regardless of whether it's easy or hard I don't want to play it because I can feel some kind of malice. This is what they call traditional spike hell, but this is just cyber torture. The game is in a Metroidvania format, but it lacks any sense of impact.
[BugReport] Progression bug after defeating the boss?
After defeating the boss, even when I went to the engineer (to unlock Lily and trigger the ending), it wouldn't progress, and I could only upgrade or chat.I'm not sure about the exact trigger conditions, but after defeating the boss, I saved once more in the side room, warped home first, then used warp to the back alley and went to the engineer. (This might be completely unrelated, though.)I closed the game and restarted it, and when I went to the engineer again, fortunately, it proceeded normally this time. It's a shame I don't have evidence like a recording. I'm not sure if it can be reproduced..
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] A funny, realistic piece of humor
At first, I was a bit puzzled, seeing that there wasn't much content but the number of upvotes was high compared to the comments and views, wondering if it was a device to show that the author was a well-known user. However, after a moment, I understood it, and I couldn't help but chuckle and hit the upvote button myself.Although it's not directly related to the gameplay, it was the most impressive and best moment for me because it was a piece of humor that well-implemented Korean community culture, which increased the immersion.
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] I am participating in the Revive Best Moment event based on my criteria.
If I were to choose the best moment in "Revive" based on my criteria, the moment I met the engineer and received congratulations after finishing the duel with the back-alley gang leaderis what I would like to pick.It was a particularly impressive scene where the sense of relief after finishing a tense duel blended with the engineer's congratulations.I am submitting this as the best scene for this event. Thank you.
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] Event Participation
It's funny and impressive how the drone surveillance setting, which is the game's worldview, is expressed humorously using online memes that users are familiar with.Instead of just reading text about a controlled city, I was able to feel the reality through the community posts of the actual residents in the game, which greatly increased the game's immersion.
[RE∀IVE_TheMoment] A memorable scene
The most memorable scene is the one where I reunite with Lily.Personally, the second phase of the final boss was quite difficult, so it left a deeper impression as it was a scene I could only see after clearing it through many attempts.Since I played through the end of the demo version mainly using basic attacks, I thought the action felt a bit lacking, but Lily's joining made the combat much richer. So, I also felt a bit of regret, wondering how it would have been if these combat elements had appeared a little earlier from the beginning of the demo.
[BugReport] Bug [1]
1. The interaction UI is being cut off.It seems to be an issue caused by the limited height of the display area.2. There is a bug where the new trial content map added after unlocking Lily does not appear on the map.3. In the case of blocked walls, terrain that looks like a single platform appears to be composed of multiple platform objects joined together, and it seems there is an issue with collision detection at their connection points. Also it seems there is another invisible wall in front of the blocked wall. When moving on the ground, the character suddenly stops after getting stuck at that point, and even when moving in the air, the character gets stuck at the same point and stops in mid-air. Since it visually appears as a single platform, it seems necessary to check the collision detection at the platform connection points.4. It is impossible to enter any further from this point.I am wondering if this is a normal restriction or if it is blocked due to a bug.5. What is the function of this R button?
[BugReport] Bug [1]
1. I am not sure of the exact cause. An intermittent bug occurs where enemies are unable to move forward in that section and walk in place.2. The text display speed setting is not saved, so it resets to the default setting upon reconnecting.3. It appears to be a bug that occurs when the player's and boss's movement paths coincidentally overlap on the same horizontal line during the boss's second phase pattern, where it moves left, right, up, and down in the air to attack. After this situation, the boss stops moving vertically and continues to move only in one horizontal direction, eventually reaching a wall and getting stuck there.
