[Notice] <Serenade of the Soul> Game Overview
Hello, this is Mr. Wolf from Spirit Of Wolf. We are excited to announce that we will be participating in the INDIE BOOST LAB for Serenade of the Soul from August 28 to September 13. Serenade of the Soul is a story-driven linear visual novel (kinetic novel) that faithfully follows the conventions of classic traditional romance. The demo version offers approximately 1 hour of playtime, and the full version, scheduled to launch later, is expected to provide around 3 hours of gameplay. We hope this game becomes a warm, comforting story that offers you a moment of rest in your busy daily life. Synopsis Behind the prestigious title of a cultural powerhouse lies a heavy yoke: South Korea, with the highest suicide rate in the world. The Han River, known for its beautiful night views, ironically becomes a place where someone makes the most sorrowful choice. A cascade of misfortunes triggered by an unjust dismissalโhere, yet another man gives up on life and throws himself off a dazzling bridge.
[TheMoment!] A grim sense of realism and the dialogue scene with the reporter
Personally, having once struggled with similar concerns, the story of the young man attempting suicide didn't feel like someone else's problem, and I empathized with it deeply. I was fully immersed in the story, deeply identifying with the protagonist's desperate situation and psychological pain, but I was truly infuriated by the reporter's behavior, who, without any consideration, treated such a sensitive issue as mere material for a scoop, provoking it without a second thought. The reporter's selfish attitude, callously poking at the pain of a character in a difficult situation without any regard, was depicted so realistically and intensely that it made my blood boil; the sharp dramatic contrast made me feel even more drawn into the story. I am really curious to see how the next part of the story unfolds.
[TheMoment!] Those who will leave first someday [1]
This is a scene where you can see the deep heart of the protagonist who made a major choice while facing the most difficult and darkest times.I also felt choked up imagining that moment that everyone will eventually face someday.I truly hope that Sereno and you reach a good ending.
[TheSpot!] Found it~ [1]
It's the park where Sereno stopped by briefly during their date in Chapter 5, and it's also the location of the demo ending scene. It was the Solar Evergreen Pavilion installed inside Sayuksin Park in Dongjak-gu. It's unique and cool.Finding real locations in Seoul felt like playing another game within the game, so it was fun haha.
