Hello, this is MazurkaDev, developer of Gallery of Night Order. First of all, I would like to thank everyone who played the game and shared their thoughts. Through this INDIE BOOST LAB, I was able to hear from many players. As this is my first project as an inexperienced developer, there are indeed many shortcomings. 1. If you press ESC a few times, commands appear at the bottom, but it would be better if they didn't appear.2. After Alt-Tabbing and exiting to Windows, there was an instance where the character would not move. ESC and menu navigation worked fine.The game was restarted once and it was normalized, and it has not occurred since.It was difficult, but it was a good experience.

I barely managed to beat it after rolling around for 30 minutes.It has Soulslike elements in dot graphics, so I played it without much issue, but there were some drawbacks I personally felt.1. The enemy's attack tempo is too fast.The enemy's attack tempo is too fast, so there is not enough time to recover health.In the case of other 3D Soulslikes, it is possible to recover health while maintaining a certain distance because the battle space is relatively wide,In the case of this game, the battle space is narrow, and the enemy's attack tempo is too fast, making it difficult to recover health.While continuing to play, I kept thinking, "Let's just quickly memorize the patterns and counter them, or just attack relentlessly and finish it quickly."2. Ambiguous parryingFirst of all, parrying is tied to the spirit system along with skills, and this part was the most unpleasant.If you use skills to deal more damage, you won't be able to parry later, and if you don't use skills, you sometimes have to use them because there is a slight dash judgment.Also, the recovery of this spirit is slower than I thought, so it was impossible to have a flashy battle where you parry all the short patterns.When parrying multi-hit attacks such as Luna's continuous shuriken throw or the Wraith's dash and spin slash, that much spirit was consumed, so I tried to avoid multi-hit attacks as much as possible and parry mainly single attacks.Also, I played with a gamepad, and the command for counterattacks was more uncomfortable than I thought.You have to raise the joystick upwards and press it while pressing the X key at the same time, but this timing does not work unless you cast it almost immediately after parrying, so this part was also very uncomfortable.3. SkillContinuing from above, skills are tied to the spirit system along with parrying, so is the damage good enough to give up parrying and use skills?I didn't feel that way. I used it to approach bosses who were in a brief groggy state because it had a slight dash judgment.As the game is developed more and more, the number of skills that can be used will naturally increase, but I didn't feel a big merit in the current version.4. Airborne BossThe Pale Bride's Wraith. This guy was much more unpleasant than the elements above.I was able to clear Luna and the King of Waves quickly, but it took me 26 minutes to catch this guy.The Wraith's attack accelerates momentarily as it approaches, it teleports, and it also uses a frontal area attack,The character has to wave his sword to catch the enemy in the air.Does he go into a groggy state when he's quiet? That's not the case either.When you hit him in the air, he gets knocked sideways and goes into a groggy state. So it took time to approach, and I couldn't hit a full combo twice.I know that bosses floating in the air are avoided as much as possible in the Soulslike genre to avoid giving this unpleasant feeling.If such a boss is planned to be added, I thought it would be a part that needs to be considered a little.Still, maybe because the Wraith is so difficult,  I was able to clear the other two in about 3-4 minutes each.It was fun to beat.

Cleared the difficulty! I'm not good at parrying in the first place, and I instinctively press the attack key even when I should be defending, so I died a lot more than I thought.I tried the most with the last bride, and I think it was especially difficult to time when the bride would use potions.Also, if you miss the timing to defend against the bride, your stamina is immediately depleted, so if you don't time it right when defending again, you'll get hit in a row.  I had to pay attention to that part as well.I think I could definitely reduce the number of deaths if I started over, but honestly, I'm a bit tired ใ… ใ…

Difficulty clear...It's not just your imagination that the clear screen looks weird. ๐Ÿ˜“We ended up taking each other down, resulting in a screen like that lol. It's like a story event cutscene...Thankfully, it was judged as clear > game over, so I could feel the developers' mercy, even if just a little.I was able to easily defeat all the bosses on easy difficulty.On hard difficulty, Luna was still easy, and I was able to clear the Lobster without much trouble as long as it didn't keep jumping continuously.The problem is the Wraith; it seems like it's not a difficult pattern, but I had some trouble clearing it.When the Wraith uses a pattern similar to Malenia's Waterfowl Dance from Elden Ring, it was difficult because if you don't adjust the angle at which the Wraith flies, you're guaranteed to get hit even if you dodge. Moreover, it was a bit vicious that the protagonist gets hit by the sword energy even when downed, and also gets hit by the slam pattern. There were hardly any chances to drink potions, so I just assumed I'd get hit anyway and forced in damage to clear it ๐Ÿฅน

I was a bit disappointed when I cleared it on Normal difficulty, but Hard difficulty was funBut there's a parry, but it was hard to utilize properly. I think there's a counter technique after parrying, but the timing is too tight, so I couldn't use it in the boss fight. In the end, I gave up on parrying and focused on dodging, and I cleared it easily in one or two tries.ใ…  The difficulty, based on Hard, was in the order of Luna > Wraith > Crab. In the case of Luna and Wraith, I think it felt more difficult because the patterns were so fast and it was difficult to use potions.Also, in the case of Luna, I still don't know how to dodge when she shoots something like a gunIn the case of the Wraith, I kept getting hit with consecutive attacks without being knocked down when I touched the wall, but I don't know if this was the developer's intention..

The time is recorded as 28 minutes, but I left it on for a while in the middle, so the actual clear time is about 15 minutes.First of all, to talk about my personal impressions of clearing it, it is definitely difficult.The reason for this is that since it is a boss rush game, you need time to figure out and strategize the boss patterns,As I mentioned in the feedback, there was also inconvenience due to the ambiguity of motion canceling or evasion, so it took time to get used to it.In the end, I was able to clear it by attacking only when the enemy had a delay after using a big attack, rather than forcing in damage quickly.My personal boss difficulty (based on story mode difficulty)I think it's 'Wraith > Crab > Luna'.Luna is mostly ranged attacks, so it's easy to defend or evade attacks, so I think I beat it in about 3 tries.The crab is big, so it's hard to dodge if you get too close, and the interval between the two sonic waves that hit the floor is ambiguous, so I often avoided the first one and got hit by the second one, making it difficult to strategize. But it was better than the Wraith.The last Wraith. Personally, it was a really difficult boss. First of all, it's basically floating in the air, making it difficult to attack, and if you try to attack and do a combo in the air, you often get hit defenselessly. Also, the unblockable attack that shoots the slash. At first, I clearly dodged it at the right time, but why did I get hit? After experiencing the situation several times, I just jumped and rolled to avoid it. Rather, it was good because I could deal damage while it was stopped after shooting the slash. In addition, there were many tricky patterns, such as the pattern of teleporting behind the character and attacking, or the pattern of attacking 360 degrees, which made it particularly difficult.I had fun playing!

At first, I was just going to clear the story mode, but I plucked up my courage and took on the challenge.I was very afraid of the hard mode, so I thought it would take a long time, but it was better than I thought.However, I'm not very good at seeing the signs of this crayfish friend, so I think I was a little lucky.I was very disappointed that the demo was short, and I liked that the game wasn't complicated.The difficulty was also good because it wasn't too easy or too difficult. Of course, it would have been easy for those who are good at these kinds of games.I tried to use counterattacks a lot, but parrying was also difficult. I think the normal difficulty was okay even before the patchif you just adapt .Before the hard difficulty patch,the King of Waves was the easiest to deal with,but after the patch, it seems like Luna.I used to keep dying to Luna,but Luna's difficulty has been significantly lowered.When I go to hard difficulty, I can't avoid it by pressing dodge once,so I seem to be struggling.But I raised my health a lot and challenged it,so even without defense or parry, Chapter 1 is possible, which was great.
