[Notice] Destiny Is Dice [1]
Hello! I’m SinPoDo, the developer of *Destiny Is Dice*. *Destiny Is Dice* is a turn-based roguelite game featuring "dice manipulation" as its core mechanic. Following our appearance at the previous Indie Boost Lab, I am thrilled to present an improved version of the game! Genre: Turn-based Roguelite Key Features: Combat / Adventure / Manipulation Platform: PC (Windows) Engine: Unity Playtime: Approx. 5–10 hours (planned) *Destiny Is Dice* consists of seven chapters in total, with the current demo version allowing play up to Chapter 3. Story Ail, a knight, wakes up in a strange village. He finds himself trapped there, having lost both his memories and his sense of age. Then, a witch named Grin appears, claiming to be his family, and offers to help him. In a dungeon where everything is determined by the roll of the dice, Ail navigates the challenges by utilizing Grin's ability to manipulate the dice. Along the way, he meets various people and gradually recovers his lost memories.
[MisfitDice] Typo in the notification message when companions are full(?) [1]
If you think of them as companions (objects/dolls), then 'item slots' makes sense, but... hmm......It's a typo, right?p.s// It would be nice if the dice and skill stat information for new and existing companions could be displayed at a glance. To help decide which one to release... (this is also...).Guess Path of the Hero..)
[MisfitDice] Is this also an error? [1]
In the pixelation effect, the dialogue also gets distorted; while this is a narrative effect, as you can see, the dialogue appears normally during both distortion effects, so isn't this an error?I think Green should appear in his normal form during the first line of dialogue.
[MisfitDice] Two strange parts [1]
When playing at the default aspect ratio resolution set in-game, the script tends to be pushed towards the top.As soon as the tutorial started, Aile suddenly laid down. I thought it would be fine once the battle started, but she didn't get up until the tutorial ended.
[MisfitDice] Damage calculation method above [1]
With the 2nd passive effect (double damage when including a 4 on the die), it's 4*6*2, which is 48, butthe actual damage is 144 because the 5th passive effect (3x damage taken when the attacking enemy's die is 1, ) is also applied. It seems the damage displayed above only shows the damage created by my own dice, wouldn't that just cause unnecessary confusion for the player?
[BugReport] The survey response is not being saved.. [9]
When I click 'Save my response' on the screen above, it usually confirms that the response is saved and submitted..Right now, even if I click 'Save my response', it doesn't save Since it's not saving like this, I'm not sure if the survey was submitted properly. Could you please check it for me?
[FirstAdventurer] 354816 [2]
First off, my playtime... over 100 hours combined between the first and second runs! In the match where I got the best items and everything went perfectly, I hit a critical damage of 354816! Isn't this the highest damage possible!? I've also attached the boss fight video above. I played while gathering over 10,000 in currency, assuming up to 5 combat reward resets, but the biggest factor was that I got lucky with items and got what I wanted in just 1-3 resets. So, I finished my setup with less money than expected!I always moved only 1 space at a time to see every event, naturally skipping bad luck events. Since I see every event, it does make the playtime longer, but it allowed me to build the stats I wanted to challenge the boss.As expected, I set up my dice like this: I chose my favorite companion, Wawa, to reach max damage with 99 attack power, used a 1-die for one companion to see all events, chose 2, 3, 4, and 5 one by one to skip selection events and bad luck events, and used the rest as 6s to easily use Wawa's skills. I recruited Golem because I thought he was the perfect companion for my current dice setup, using Wawa's 1-die basic skill and a second skill that can use 5 or more. As a result, I rarely had to use Fate Fragments, so I feel like I have some left over...;;I've also obtained all the current companions! It would be great if more and diverse companions were added!I'm looking forward to the official release!
[MisfitDice] Bugs, typos, suggestions for improvement.. [2]
Suggestions for improvementThe character names in the dialogue box are inconsistent, switching between English and Korean...It seems like there are many Korean names in the early stages, but many English names in the later stages.Especially in the story of one of the final stages, Aeil's name appears in English and then in Korean;;Personally, I think it would be better if the names were consistently unified according to the language settings. In conclusion, while the explanation is the same, Wawa's skill description seems simpler and more intuitive. How about improving other skills in this way?It would be good to clarify whether the attack power increase ability applies only to the current battle or if it is a permanent increase. After the boss battle dialogue event, it says 'Someone is coming from the other side?' and then the battle starts..It felt a bit awkward. I think it's a phrase that fits when there is no event, but wouldn't it be better to replace it with a different phrase if there is an event?BugThe tutorial click indicator covers the skill description. The tutorial is supposed to show the skill location, but the skill description is displayed, and the actual skill location is covered by the dialogue, making it impossible to see the skill;;In the tutorial, the battle start button is covered by the dialogue box and it doesn't seem to be clearly visible, pointing to an empty space.Typos, spellingClick, item > Click, itemTry it! > Try it!Utilize, more various > Utilize, more variousDid you kidnap them?! > Did you kidnap them?!Gnawing on it. > Gnawing on it.I think it's more natural to use '알려준다는데' rather than '알려준다는 데'.알려준다는데 (No space)Meaning: Used when someone says they will tell you something, and you use that content as background or to bring up what comes next.Example: "My friend said they would tell me the answer tomorrow, so let's wait."Feature: It becomes the reason or prerequisite for the following content.알려준다는 데 (With space)Meaning: It means 'to the (thing) that they will tell you' or 'to the place/situation where they will tell you', using the dependent noun '데'.Example: "Let's go to the place where he said he would show us the way and ask."Feature: If it makes sense even after inserting the particle '에' after '데', then write it with a space.Focus on the battle and rescuing the child!> There are parts where the context feels awkward.Everyone, focus on rescuing the child while fighting! > Wouldn't this be more natural and lively?Does vs. Do (Formal/Informal)It would be good to unify it to one of the two.
[FirstAdventurer] Devil of 3 [1]
It's not like I got any particularly strong passive itemsBut since my strength build went well and I got the item that changes all dice to 3, I cleared it easily by going all-in on 3s.Also, I really like how the green background appears during battle in many ways.
[FirstAdventurer] Chapter 3 Boss [1]
Even the Chapter 3 boss is a one-hit kill if you get grazed!Taking it slow, one step at a time , it takes a bit of time, but it's great for setting things up the way you want, and it gets easier the further you progress.A few movement dice 1s and the rest are dice 6s! I set up my passives mainly around dice 6 buffs.Had a fun time playing~
[FirstAdventurer] A fun non-human party where everyone goes all-in [1]
The non-human party I liked the mostA 5-dollar Falcon Punch from the rock, a Chihuahua with Wawa Dice applied, and an alpaca that really feels like a closing pitcherIf you intentionally lower the dice roll by 1 on the progression route and fully farm, there is no one who can stand in your way. Compared to the first demo, it was a delicious narrative where I felt tremendous progress~
