👾 ChainTakers
[Notice] 개발자 소감 및 개선 방향 안내 [7]
Hello, this is Yosub Shin, the developer of ChainTakers. First of all, I would like to sincerely thank everyone who participated in this playtest. Through this test, I received valuable feedback from many players, and thanks to that, I was able to clearly identify the areas that need improvement. Every single opinion you shared has been a great help in refining the game’s direction. 1. Summary of Key Feedback Lack of Tutorial: Some players mentioned that it was difficult to understand the core gameplay systems. Fatigue from Movement Controls: The control scheme felt unintuitive and tiring to use. Bug Occurrences: Certain issues were reported during combat and movement in specific areas. Lack of Sound: Many felt that the absence of sound reduced immersion. UI/UX Issues: The interface was not intuitive, and important information was not delivered clearly. 2. Improvement Plan and Direction Tutorial Addition: A step-by-step tutorial is being prepared to explain core controls and systems. C
[WhatILiked] The biggest advantage of the game
I like the background! The feeling of fighting monsters and surviving on a ruined planet? There's no story yet, but it would be so much fun if you added a story! The main character has a cute feel, but I hope to see the front view instead of just the back!!
[WhatILiked] What I liked
I'm not good at action games, so I liked that it was an auto-battle... but I didn't know how to capture... I didn't get to enjoy the chain? method..I think there are still many things to improve in the game..First of all, everyone seems to be having a hard time because there are no basic controls or tutorials.. (You wrote it in the notice, but.. it should be available in the game)And.. this seems like a bug, what kind of window is this...? It came out when I held the icon and spammed the right mouse button.
[WhatILiked] Event participation and play review.
Overall, I was very disappointed. The controls were very uncomfortable, and I couldn't understand why they insisted on mouse controls only.Besides that, the UI layout was often incomprehensible, making it difficult to play in many ways. However, since I'm not confident in my controls... I liked the auto-battle method and the setting of capturing monsters and fighting together.1. The UI is not unified overallIf you go here and there, it's a window that opens... It was hard to find the close button... Pressing esc turns off the game itself..(The blue chip (?) on the right is the close button)(The bolt on the top right is the close button... I don't know about the bolt on the left, but the animation works...)2. The controls were very uncomfortable.Every time I moved, I had to press the lower right movement key and double-click... Combat double-click... There were too many mouse operations even for simple operations.Since the battle will take place in a separate map anyway... I think it would have been easier to operate if each key was assigned to wasd movement, attack, and interaction such as conversation.3. There is a bug..When I first moved... I right-clicked with the move icon... A pop-up window that I had never seen before saying machine test? appeared and I couldn't move. I turned the game off and on and it worked fine after that... It's a game-breaking bug, so I'm reporting it..(I forgot to take a picture..)
[WhatILiked] What I liked
I liked the city atmosphere that I saw after starting the game. I enjoyed the battles with mechanical monsters in an apocalyptic atmosphere.I was also looking forward to seeing if infected creatures would appear later It would be fun to prepare a squad with a mechanized division and fight a large number of infected zombies in the late game. The story hasn't been revealed yet, but some unknown creature is combined with the plane I found it interesting to fight grotesque monsters. It was easy to catch because it was in the early stages, and I liked that it was an auto-battle similar to LoL Chess. Just press start to win! There is also an enhancement system, and in a way, you can equip additional abilities like equipping items I liked that I could build a squad with my desired build with various skills.I also thought that I might be able to create set effect synergy in the future. In addition to the squad, I also liked the function of collecting and equipping various weapons and skills for the main character, like in an RPG game.It would be fun to have a level-up system so that you can challenge higher difficulty levels. You have revealed the approximate playable elements Overall, I am really satisfied. In particular, I think it will be quite fun to watch because you can do auto-battles and raise them together. I look forward to being able to play with various additional contents updated!
[WhatILiked] What I liked
(I checked and the screenshot wasn't taken, so I restarted and took a picture of the beginning part)I liked the fact that it's set in a ruined modern city, and the mechanical UI design! When I click on the top left and right of the screen below, it gets pressed, but I think it would be better to have related sound effects
[BugReport] Bug found
Due to an encoding issue, the video order is not visible, so I'll write it down for now.First, random encounters can be used infinitely.Whether you fight or choose an option that causes damage like in the video, you can use it infinitely in a row instead of disappearing.Secondly, quickly press the icon in the upper left corner in a row, or If you press the green button of the UI icon in the gap on the left side of the pop-up window that appears, the pop-ups will appear in a row. Third, when placing characters in auto-battle, if you push the character with a rocket, the character's image? is pushed away, but the character's existence does not change the space. In the video, I moved there by placing the mouse in the 4th slot, butLastly, there is no photo upload function in the feedback, so I am uploading it here. When changing positions during auto-battle, the hitbox that allows you to move the character is all around that red box. Most people will click on the body of the character, such as the rocket or knight, but in reality, you have to click and drag around that area to move it. Please fix this as well.
[WhatILiked] It's a scene I like.
I forgot to take a picture while playing. Please understand that I turned it on again in a hurry, so it's in the early stages. In this picture, I liked the map design of the collapsing construction site, and personally, I liked the monster design in the game.
[FreeTalk] I wanted to enjoy it, but...
I don't know how to control it, maybe something is wrong with my computer.Sometimes it moves, sometimes it doesn't..I don't know how to control it, so I touched this and that, and as you can see on the screenshot, I was holding a command icon on that screen, so I pressed esc to cancel it, but only the exit menu came out, so I force quit it.It seems to consume quite a lot of graphics resources, so I tried lowering the settings, but it doesn't seem to save... (If I turn it off and on, the settings are not changed)I wanted to play it, so I tried several times, but I couldn't control it well, so I'm sad that I can't participate in the "What did you like most about the game after playing it?" event.
[WhatILiked] Legendary battle of 1 vs 9! - Participating in the event!
I liked the companion system! If you look at the screenshot below, it's a 1 vs 9 battle!Of course, 1 is the enemy A scene where 9 people gang up fairly (?)!I liked the fact that you can capture them and fight together as companions. At first, I didn't know how to play the game, so I wandered around a lot, but I found the controls on the store page and then I tried pressing each one to play.I really think a tutorial is needed. For the first 20-30 minutes, I couldn't do anything and almost had a mental breakdown. There is no sound in the game at all, so it feels a bit boring. The biggest problem is that when I enter a battle while playing, the character freezes in the battle, making it impossible to proceed with the game, so I think you can only clear the boss if this bug doesn't occur by chance.I tried to clear it several times, but gave up because of the problem of constantly freezing...In addition, the game cannot be played due to fatal errors. If you don't get enough potion ingredients and can't manage your health, you'll get hit and die while moving like this. If you move around and get hit a little, your health seems to be damaged too much. There is a bug where the cost is - and exceeded.I used this to put in several companions and fight.I think it would have been better if it was a more complete game.I wish at least the tutorial worked. I think there are many features that I couldn't use because I didn't know how to use them. The completeness is still too low, so even after playing for 3-4 hours, I don't understand it well. It's a shame that I couldn't even see the boss due to the bug that stops the game most of the time.Unique gameplay and field movement that moves like a turn-based game, and even auto battle.I'm looking forward to seeing how the game will develop in the future.
[WhatILiked] Participating in the event!
Personally, I liked the design of the enemies because it felt like Digimon. In terms of the game system, it looks like you can capture enemies and use them as allies.I think it's fun to be able to capture and use the type of enemy I want in this part.

[WhatILiked] Contra Design
There seem to be some parts that still need refinement, but the various Contras have visuals that bring out their individual characteristics rather than just playing with colors, which aroused my curiosity and made it fun to watch. However, since the battle progresses from a top-down view and there is no encyclopedia function, it was a little disappointing that there were not enough opportunities to examine them in detail.
