[FreeTalk] Impressions from Participating in the Parrior Indie Boost Lab
Hello, this is Team Bamsae. The Parrior Indie Boost Lab 2nd Test, held from 9/15 to 9/29, has now come to a close. We apologize for the delay in sharing this message with you. Through this second test, we were able to learn and realize many things. At the same time, we regret that our preparations for this demo were not as thorough as we had hoped. Even so, this test gave us the opportunity to re-discuss our development direction internally, and we plan to focus improvements on tutorials, level design, and combat design moving forward. Unlike Chapter 1—which was improved after events such as PlayX4—Chapters 2 and 3 revealed many shortcomings through the feedback we received this time. We will take these lessons as a foundation to deliver a much more polished and complete game upon release. We sincerely thank everyone who participated in the test and ask for your continued interest and support. The winners of the event will be finalized during the holiday and announced afterwards. We wi

[BugReport] Bug reports such as revival at checkpoints [1]
First, there is a bug where the chapter number does not change even when you go to the next chapter from the stage portal. There are cases where, even though it is a place where the request was previously accepted and the blocked area was released, it is blocked again after checkpoint revival, making it impossible to explore the collection elements. And there are errors in the number of collection elements obtained.Similarly, in 1-3, when you talk to the penguin after catching the giant grouse, the W skill is unlocked, right? After that, if you don't move to the portal immediately and die while wandering around the map and return to the checkpoint, the W skill is locked again, but there is a bug that the W skill is not unlocked even after catching the giant grouse again. If you go to the next stage without going to the village through the portal after that, the W key remains locked even in the place where there is a guide to use Q and W skills. If you return to the village and proceed, the W skill will be unlocked normally.
[EventEntry] Clearance certification [1]
I cleared it with a ranged bow (for some reason, it had the most health).I felt that the boss fight was easier than the normal stage... (I think it was easier to see the patterns because it was ranged)I could cancel all the pre-delay and post-delay with dash, so it took a long time, but I think I was able to play safely and catch the boss.I think I cleared 3-6 more easily because it didn't summon mobs.
[EventEntry] Clear 3-6 and play review. [1]
In the first round, there was a difficulty wall until I was personally trained in the early stages, but I think that part has been resolved well. The parrot was also properly strengthened and became a reliable ally.I was able to immerse myself in the interesting worldview and quizzes that fit the setting, but..Dying suddenly from a quiz without saving was not a good experience...Even if I caught all the other mobs, it seems like there would be collection elements if I went over to the quiz.. Since it's an instant death judgment.. I was reluctant to go at first.Still, overall, I felt much improved from the first time and it was a fun experience.Clear certificationThese are the inconveniences and typos I mainly experienced while playing. However, love shot with the boss: Death due to a time difference attack in a situation where the boss dies and a line comes out.Camera goes to a strange place after resurrection after death: When resurrecting after dying to the giant boss in Chapter 3-3 Intermittent long loading symptom: Sometimes the loading window takes about 1 minute.. I thought it was frozen..Typos: (Stab.. Who?)(How many are lying?)
[EventEntry] I'm participating in the event. [1]
The difficulty is moderate, but after the parrot's ability was unlocked, I felt it became somewhat easier. As for jobs, it seems that the wizard's skills are less appealing compared to other jobs. Also, the challenges within the stage are always the same, so it's boring, and later on, the desire to play disappears... I wish it was composed in a more diverse way.And it was okay up to chapters 1 and 2, but in chapter 3, on the beach stage, there were especially many enemies that followed and self-destructed, and the stage composition felt somewhat disappointing. There were many disappointing things, but I liked the parody elements in the game and the characters' conversations. I'm looking forward to the official version.
[EventEntry] Magic feathers are precious, so you should definitely get them even if it's a demo ending. [1]
Actually... the graphics and content are for all ages, but I wonder if the dash count limit is necessary... It might feel empty in the interface below if it's not there. There's also a delay, so I wish they would increase the number of dashes or remove the limit.
[BugReport] Bug report (2).
I'm splitting up the post due to the video count limit.[Mid-Boss Bug]I think it's the mysterious death bug that was also posted in the notice.[Parrot Upgrade]There is a bug where the upgrade is completed even when there are insufficient resources, while the click is delayed and sometimes skips to level 2.
[BugReport] This is a bug report.
I played it quite late, so there might be a lot of overlapping parts, but I'll upload it anyway. [Replay Bug] If you look at the top right UI, you can see that the acquired goods are inflated when you do it again. If you go back to that section through Replay, the game will no longer progress. If you die in that section and try to play again, the game will not progress properly. [Typo] To -> of (Two) are lying.

This is the clear video.First of all, there were many bugs that I experienced, which made the game difficult to play. (I will post about this bug separately.)Overall, to talk about the feeling of playing,1. The parrot's function is stronger than I thought. One of the reasons is that you can upgrade without any resources, but you can also equip additional attack skills to the basic attack, and I felt that the damage is not inferior to the character's damage.I thought it might be necessary to make adjustments such as using one slot each for attack and utility skill registration, or adjusting it to one slot.2. The hitting feel was also more disappointing than I thought. The magician was good because I felt the difference compared to other weapons, but I was disappointed that I didn't feel much difference with other night archer berserker assassins. It's also basically bland.3. Difference between field battle and boss battleI could feel that the number of gimmicks in the field battle has increased significantly compared to the previous demo.On the other hand, I didn't feel much difference in the boss battle.Compared to reaching the boss stage by breaking through many gimmicks, it was disappointing that I couldn't feel the control that I had grown by breaking through the gimmicks in the boss.I think it would be better to divide the phase based on 50% of the health, and experience the 2nd phase entry after breaking through the gimmick through control and a few more added patterns.4. Clean early progressI could see that the early progress was cleaner than the previous demo. The story also looked a little more organized, and I appropriately added a tutorial stage in the process. In the middle, you can change your job by finding a lost bag, and I thought it would be better to immediately enter the town in this part and introduce the system related to job change or upgrade naturally.시스템을 자연스럽게 소개를 해주면 더 좋지 않을까 하는 생각도 들었습니다.
[EventEntry] Participating in the clear event [1]
Compared to the first test, the monsters showed many openings, and the parrot became more active, making the battle very pleasant.Especially Berserker and Archer in the first test were difficult to use easily due to their unique delays, but this time, each class had the performance to clear both mob battles and boss battles smoothly. I was able to clear the boss battle even with that Archer.🤗Of course, Knight's strangely serious forward movement was a bit questionable, but I understood it thinking that Knight's concept was not a tank concept that protects something, but a "stabbing" concept.I mainly played with an Assassin focused on attack power enhancement, and I felt that it had the best hand feel and suited my style. The play experience was so speedy and action-packed that it was hard to believe that I used to play Stella in the first test, canceling her normal attacks and fighting with short bursts of damage.I was able to clear mob battles and boss battles too easily by using Q for ranged attacks, W for emergency escape and wide-area attacks, and E for single-target damage. The parrot helped a lot with the damage, but I feel like I could have cleared it smoothly even without it.Each stage and chapter had well-defined concepts like a theme park area, so it felt like I was enjoying a theme park. Not only the map objects, NPCs, and monsters, but also the gimmicks, traps, and progression methods incorporated the concept, giving it a real attraction feel. However, I personally felt that the traps and quizzes in Chapter 3 were somewhat unreasonable, so my satisfaction was slightly lower than in Chapters 1 and 2, which appropriately mixed combat and simple trap breakthroughs. In summary, the play experience was dramatically different from the first test, and I can say that it was a more complete second build.But... there are too many bugs right now.
[EventEntry] The game has improved a lot compared to the first test. [1]
The first test was a game that wasn't fun to play, and it was a game that couldn't get good reviews, but the fact that I cleared it this time in the second test may be an indicator that the game has improved a lot…As written in the survey,I can't help but talk about Chapter 3. The section where you have to die unconditionally by getting hit by a rain of arrows if you don't pass quickly is a section that you must fix.I know you tried to make the pirate training (?) somewhat tense, but it seems like a part that needs improvement as it was a section where I suddenly felt that it was no longer fun. More precisely, rather than a difficulty issue, there are definitely fun designs even if they are tricky, but that section just made me want to take a break? to the point where I felt more fatigue than fun.+Additionally, here's a bug report. It would be fun to fly around like that near the end.
[EventEntry] Participate in the clear event [1]
One of the special features I felt while playing was the fun of exploring every corner of the map. Not only collecting gold, feathers, and food needed to achieve stage achievements, but also learning the story through conversations with NPCs in every corner of the map, getting hints about the next trap, or even enjoying gag elements, it was fun to talk to each one. Also, various puzzles such as logs, nests, thorns, axes, cannons, cacti, and arrows are placed according to the background of the map, so I could feel a different kind of fun in each stage.I don't remember the exact job names, but based on the images shown on the selection screen, here's a summary of what I felt about each job.Star – Basic attack speed and damage are moderate, and the Q, W, and E skill compositions are all similar. However, it can cover not only melee attacks but also ranged and area attacks depending on the skill used, so stable play in an all-rounder style was possible.Greatsword – Basic attack speed is slow, but damage is powerful. The performance of the Q skill was good, and it was especially good to be able to pull enemies in with the W skill and attack. Also, the area attack of the E skill was good. I felt like it was a job focused on attack power instead of slow attack speed, but it felt somewhat disadvantageous when dealing with a large number of enemies because both attack speed and skill cooldown were slow.Bow – Attack speed is moderate and penetrating attack is also an advantage, but the attack range is narrow and there is a restriction on the attack method that the enemy must be standing side by side horizontally. Also, the fact that movement is restricted every time you shoot an arrow and that you are knocked back yourself is a big disadvantage. The Q and W skills are mediocre, and the E skill is an area attack, so it's useful, but I don't think I'll use it much unless ranged combat is absolutely necessary.Dual Swords – Basic damage is weak, but you can check enemies with very fast attack speed. You can use the Q skill for ranged attacks, and the W skill for ranged and dash attacks, so skill utilization is high, and it was also good that the attack efficiency increased by leaving afterimages with the E skill. It is possible to deal with not only melee but also ranged enemies, and various strategic plays are possible, such as quickly escaping using the W skill or skipping quiz puzzles.Gun – Attack speed and damage are mediocre, and the biggest disadvantage is that you can only attack one at a time due to the very narrow attack range. The skill cooldown is also slow, and the shotgun skill has a short attack range but is mediocre, and the laser skill has a long attack range and high damage, so it was the most useful skill. Even though the E skill has the advantage of being able to fire while moving, the damage is disappointing, the cooldown is very long, and the direction cannot be changed, so you can only attack in one direction, and it is inconvenient that it is canceled immediately if you accidentally let go of the E key. Like the arrow, I don't think I'll use it unless ranged combat is necessary.Shield – The basic attack combo was satisfactory, and the E skill's slam attack was powerful. Both the stab in the invincible state of the W skill and the charge attack of the E skill were excellent in terms of both attack and defense. In particular, the biggest advantage is that by using the W and E skills, you can ignore and break through quiz puzzles, or even if you get a question wrong and die instantly, you can use the skill to become invincible and avoid it, which was good because strategic play was possible.Wizard – Basic attack speed was moderate, but damage was weak and attack range was short, which was somewhat disappointing. The Q skill was mediocre, and the W skill had the disadvantage of being canceled in close combat, so it was possible to deal decent damage if used in advance at mid-range, but the usage was tricky. The lightning area attack of the E skill was the most satisfactory, but the disadvantage was that you could not accurately attack the desired point. When comprehensively comparing attack styles and skill utilization Dual Swords = Shield > Star > Greatsword > Bow = Gun > Wizard I felt that they were useful in that order. Melee attack jobs were dominant, and ranged attack jobs seemed to be relatively underperforming.Lastly, if you upgrade even just one of the 'Catch It' and 'Angtaeoh' skills among the parrot Sunshine's attack skills, Sunshine alone will do everything regardless of which job you choose among the above jobs... It became so powerful that the meaning of job selection felt somewhat faint.
[EventEntry] 3-6 Demo clear complete~!! [3]
I've tried almost all the jobs except for two that I couldn't get, at least one or two stages eachI liked long-range classes like Gunners/Archers or Assassins,But I found the magician very frustrating (especially the lightning falling into the air...)I finally cleared it with the GunnerI developed each one like this (to be honest, I didn't know about the bug until halfway through the 2nd stage with the last food, and then I used it when I found out about the bug)Using it like that, the sunlight was very helpful, so it was good
[EventEntry] I enjoyed the demo. [1]
Event 3-6 Clear!I was able to enjoy the game comfortably with cute graphics and moderately casual difficulty. It was nice to be able to control the main character in a variety of ways with various job changes. Personally, I liked the Gunner the most. At first, it felt a bit weak, but it was convenient in terms of collecting because I could sweep away boxes and barrels in one go with W skill multi-hits.Why is the enhancement of Sunshine being enhanced on credit... is it a bug? What is that number 2 in this stage?I felt that the game was quite complete even though it was a demo version. I will give feedback focusing on personal pros and cons.Pros- Cute graphics, BGM, UI, and exciting story- Motivation for adventure with collection-related elements that have a real impact on combat specs- Sunshine's skills, Byeol's job changes for diverse battlesCons- Lack of hitting and being hit feeling- The battle becomes tedious when the battle continues with a large number of waves in the battle part- A significant amount of bugs even considering it's a demo versionI look forward to the official release, I support you!
[BugReport] Why did the enhancement happen?
There was a resource that only allowed 1 enhancement each for hamburgers and pudding, so I enhanced the hamburger first, then the pudding, and then the cake was enhanced as if I had pre-input the keyboard? And the enhancement went through, and even the remaining resource is displayed as a negative number...! It's a bug where you can enhance on credit.
[BugReport] Why is the W skill locked..
I thought the flow was to learn the W skill and then proceed with the W skill tutorial in the next stage, but the W skill was constantly locked, so it was difficult to clear. Moreover, there were a lot of monsters, perhaps because the W skill is an area skill. I barely cleared it with normal attacks and Q skills, and when the same thing happened when I moved on to the next stage, I went to the town, changed to Berserker, and proceeded again, and fortunately, I was able to use the W skill.
