It was a valuable experience where we could feel as if you were speaking to us directly, giving us feedback on the spot. We carefully read through every piece of feedback you sent us! (Seriously!) Now, we’d like to share which areas of the game we’re improving, and announce the winners of the feedback event! 🛠 Patch NotesUpdated Fixes Adjusted monster summoning system Adjusted overall game volume Fixed user convenience bugs (e.g., powers not applying, Queen selection bug) Balance adjustments We decided that bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements should take priority over adding new content. These issues were addressed first to minimize player inconvenience during the event period. [DevLog] Hello, Demon Lords! [4]
Hello, this is King Yongjeong, team leader of Team Dunning-Kruger. The two-week Indie Boost Lab event has now come to an end. First of all, I would like to sincerely thank all the Demon Lords who took part. What started with the thought of, “What if we tried making a game on this theme?” has now grown this far… I have read every single post, piece of feedback, screenshot, and review you’ve shared — thank you so much. Honestly, with my limited skills, I feel a little embarrassed to have received so much attention. 😅 I also want to thank my teammates who trusted and followed me even without a dedicated planner or artist on the team. We will continue to take in your feedback and work hard to make the game even more fun and polished! See you one day in the full release!
[DefenseSuccess] Participate in the clear event
I proceeded with evolution and ability enhancement focusing on skeletons and elves. I changed the queen to Skeleton Queen and played, I liked that 10 skeletons were summoned at once with the Skeleton Legion skill, so I could quickly replenish the population whenever it was insufficient. As for the shortcut keys, I played by setting them in the order of Skeleton Knight, Warrior, Ranger, Elf Sentinel, Archer, and Scout.I only secured two buffs rather than attacking magic, and I occasionally buffed them. I had fun playing.
[DefenseSuccess] I cleared it with Elves.
Due to the nature of the game, I thought long-range would be advantageous, so I only summoned Elves to clear it.Most enjoyable part: The fun of feeling a sense of crisis while desperately blocking enemies that rush in haphazardly in the late game. Most disappointing aspect: There is a tedious stagnant period in the early game where you just summon for about 20 minutes, constantly filling 200 units and spawn killing.Parts that need modification: There is no reason or room to mix and summon units of other races; excessive lag occurs in the late game.I've thought about ways to solve these shortcomings. 1. If there are no more enemies to kill, the game speed should be doubled to quickly skip the boring parts and quickly send the player to that delicious time. The game time also feels a bit long, so it would be good to shorten it.2. Increase the number of random raid events more than now to narrow the interval of that stagnant period.3. The current race system is too powerful with upgrades, and you can only clear if you focus on upgrades, so you only summon upgraded units. Therefore, it would be good to add mixed synergy for each race or create a race synthesis system.4. To eliminate lag, when money and experience items accumulate, combine them into higher-level items like in Vampire Survivors, and make bats mine lower-level items from there, like mining resources. Also, instead of pursuing mass summoning of units, making players summon powerful synthesized units that consume a lot of population would be fun and reduce lag.Overall, I enjoyed playing it. I hope it becomes a good game.
[DefenseSuccess] Defense successful with skeletons! [1]
I managed to clear it, but...Like how I focused on orcs during the orc stage, this time I upgraded everything focusing on skeletons, butAs you can see from the population and minimap, the troops are too weak, so in the end, the troops just melt away.Still, I maintained a population between 160 and 200 until the mid-to-late game, but in the last 1-2 minutes, it was like falling leaves...I think I could have cleared it without using the 10-second invincibility at the end, butAnyway, it's not like I was just standing by and got wiped out, I was constantly recruiting troops,Even then, I couldn't handle it, so I combined dark elf series that I hadn't used before (of course, they were barely upgraded)I barely cleared it with the quantity of 2 races, but it was still hard to handle.Of course, I failed to renew the ranking I achieved during the orc stage. The skeleton series seems to have a concept of being relatively weak but costing less,But the maximum population is the same at 200, so it's not like you can recruit more troops compared to other races,Since the base stats themselves are low, I think the stats that increase even when 강화 is done are lower than those of other races. This is the first time I've used the skeleton series, but from my first impression, it seems like there are no advantages unless it's intentionally designed for high difficulty.
[DefenseSuccess] First clear!
Defense = long-range unit = archer = elf! I always used elves with this mindset and couldn't beat it, butI finally cleared it for the first time after deciding to go with an orc family.(I think it was also a big influence that I raised everything I could with authority)After the patch, a summon stack was created, making it difficult to summon a large number of single units.Except for the last tech unit, which is presumed to be blocked because it's a demo,The demo's final tech unit includes 3 types of ranged units, so it's good to be able to summon a burst of upgrades at once.
[DefenseSuccess] Failed with 7 seconds left... Finally achieved defense success [1]
A disastrous result of failing to defend with 7 seconds left...It suddenly broke through at the end..After trying again one more timeI finally succeeded in defending!I liked the elf, so I took the Sentinel route in the early game, but after using several races, I finally cleared it with the Skeleton. lol It was a game where the desire to succeed in defense was overflowing. I submitted a detailed long feedback written while playing through the survey! page.onstove.com/quarter/kr/view/11027442?boardKey=134147&combined=falseI also uploaded a play review :) Fighting forward!
[DevLog] Update Notes [2]
🛠 Updates & Fixes Hello, this is Team Dunning-Kruger. Based on your feedback, we’ve fixed several bugs and applied new updates. Thank you! Monster Summon Stacking Summoning monsters now consumes summon charges. Charges regenerate over time, and you cannot summon if you run out. Remaining charges and recovery progress are displayed in the slot. New abilities and upgrade options related to summon charges have been added. Removal of Ability Evolution Points The “Evolution Points” option has been removed from abilities. Any invested currency has been refunded. Structural Changes to Summoned Monsters Monsters summoned via skills no longer grant experience or rewards. These summoned monsters now have a limited lifespan. Reduced Duration of Monster Projectiles The lifetime of monster projectiles (arrows, magic, shurikens, etc.) has been reduced. As a result, their travel distance has also decreased. Depending on the monster type, projectile duration has been reduced by 20%–40%. “Zero Bug” Fix
[DefenseSuccess] I will park here~ [2]
Rankings are displayed for up to 10 people The event prize is limited to 10 people? If this is the case, then the top ten are now invincible… Anyway, I'll take the bronze medal~ I'm just satisfied with getting on the podium~ Actually, from this point on, it is not a technology. I think it's pure luck Oh my, I don't know anymore~ P.S.: If you use Sacrifice There is also a bug where units are not selected.
[BugReport] Bug Report.. [2]
1. Which queen would you choose? It's not a bug, but... the problem is that only the vampire queen appears in the illustration on the bottom right of the battlefield. When playing as the Orc Queen or Skeleton Queen, shouldn't the illustration change depending on which queen you choose? 2. A bug that prevents the hero from attacking when stuck to a wall. You have to move away from the wall to attack. 3. Sometimes you attack by pushing. Even if you push it away from the wall, it doesn't attack right away, but rather pushes it further to attack. 4. Broken Bat I was playing a game and the bat wasn't moving, so I looked and it was stopped at the 12 o'clock position. Check the minimap in the video 5. Bug where skills and evolution points disappear when the population is 000. The population is expressed as 000/000 There is also an issue where the amount above is displayed a bit strangely since it exceeds 1 million. The results screen looks something like this... 6. In the game after the above bug.. Evolution points 6, population 300, more bats, and twice as many enemies. If you look at 55 seconds, you will see an auto-click bug when you switch to an active skill by pressing the tab key while summoning a unit with the mouse click. The problem of enemies not appearing from about 15 minutes left until the end
[DefenseSuccess] Clear Certification [1]
Everyone wants to dig the sentinel route In line with the Skeleton Queen's characteristics Going the Skeleton Ranger route I drew more of the Skeleton Wizard because it looked better. This kid's intelligence is a bit low. But in the end, they don't send you anywhere and just surround the castle. There was no separate sturdy photo canon. Correction. A sturdy dragon Please increase my intelligence
[DefenseSuccess] Successful defense in 1st place! [2]
After trying this and that for over 12 hours... I realized that melee was harder than ranged, so I only used ranged units after that. Of all the ranged units, I think the Elf Sentinel fits me best. It looks like a unit with both range and attack power. Active skills are just a luxury.. I played mainly with passive skills. It is fun to summon units and defend, but the problem is that there is a certain degree of permanent upgrade progress. The only downside is that it gets really boring after the first half. It seems like it needs a speed-up feature... I had fun playing it There were a lot of bugs while playing... I'll fix them and upload them tomorrow.
[BugReport] Seems like a linked bug? [2]
Even if you get all the evolution points There are boards that start with 0 evolution points. Turn off the board and start a new game You can get 6 evolution points As you can see in the screenshot, the population is set to 300. When I actually played that board, the game stopped after about 20 minutes. The score is also fixed like that. So we played like this until the end.
[DefenseSuccess] Quantity meta + No skill clear [1]
1.170 troops waiting for the enemy Zenman Power pull-up without taking a single skill It is now possible to clear the level by just upgrading units. I killed every single one of them, including Yongsa and Nabal, and they didn't even get to see my castle, so why is my score... For a game that has a high score event Something is suspicious… As I tried to accumulate evolution points, it seemed like the enemies got stronger in proportion to the invested points. Looking at the fact that the last 3 minutes were spent surrounding the castle with sentinels and holding out, and then clearing the level... Anyway, let's get 200 sentinels first There are traces of the Skeleton Warrior going to Coolmada.
[DefenseSuccess] Defense Success Certification [1]
It's not easy to clear the game because the tanks start to melt from the middle. I've only played as the Skeleton Ranger, a long-range fighter. I was able to clear it without any problems thanks to the skeleton reinforcements that came out well in the beginning.
